Research Seminars
The Research Section hosts two seminar series each year on selected themes as well as occasional seminars. While generally of academic interest, the seminars are open to the general public. After speaking, presenters usually have time to answer questions from the audience.
Seminars are usually held during lunchtime on Mondays.

Conferences
Through its research, AIATSIS is regularly involved in and supports national and international workshops and conferences. For example, the Native Title Research Unit (NTRU) hosts the national Native Title Conference annually and the AIATSIS Conference is held every two years. Workshops
The seventh annual workshop on Australian languages will be held at ANU Kioloa Coastal Campus from 28th to 30th March 2008. The workshop is jointly hosted by AIATSIS and School of Languages, ANU
