Workshops: Day 4

Friday 16th July

Please sign up for workshops at the Registration Desk, or to secure your place in advance please email your interests to publicprograms@aiatsis.gov.au.

When: With the exception of Workshop 4 (W4): Audiovisual Documentation (which has a briefing on the Monday 12th of July and will be ongoing throughout the symposium), all workshops will be held on the morning of Friday the 16th of July.

What: Come along and learn a range of skills: from researching your family history online, to learning about the cybertracker technology used for mapping, from delivering education modules online, to using social media (Facebook, Twitter and others), from how to undertake audio visual documentation to how to preserve these materials.

Venue 1: Lecture Theatre 1, ANU School of Music, William Herbert Place (off Childers Street), Acton
W1: Collecting and Using Geospatial Field Data with Cybertracker, and W6: AUSTKIN.

Venue 2: Rooms 2.25 & 2.28, ANU Peter Karmel Building, William Herbert Place (off Childers Street), Acton
W2: Researching Family History Online (Room 2.25), W3: Delivering Education Models Online, and W7: Social Media. (Room 2.28)

Venue 3: National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA), McCoy Circuit, Acton (Please meet at the NFSA reception area at 9am)
W4: Audiovisual documentation and W5: Preservation.
** Please note that for those interested in attending workshop W4, there will be a briefing at the NFSA on Monday the 12th at 1pm, meeting in the reception area at NFSA.
