AIATSIS maintains a highly productive interdisciplinary research team of Research Fellows and a small number of research officers and support staff who build networks and partnerships to facilitate and coordinate research across academic, community and public sectors.
Research staff are employed under various arrangements and AIATSIS encourages Indigenous Researchers through its recently announced scholarship fund.
Research activities are conducted by the Research Program and the Native Title Research Unit, and are mainly carried out by staff researchers who are experts in their fields of study and practice.
The profiles below provide information on Research Fellows engaged by AIATSIS on longer term projects.
