Conferences

Through its research, AIATSIS is regularly involved in and supports national and international workshops and conferences. For example, the Native Title Research Unit (NTRU) hosts the national Native Title Conference annually and the AIATSIS Conference is held every two years.

AIATSIS National Indigenous Studies Conference 2009 logo

In this biennial year the conference will be held in Canberra between 29th September and 1st October. The theme will be "Perspectives on urban life: connections and reconnections."

As its major theme, the Conference will consider a range of 'lifestyle' questions for Indigenous people living in urban and semi-urban / regional areas.
