Session E2.3. The Review of Higher Education Access and Outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People
Discussion Panel
The interactive forum will bring together leading thinkers to share views on how to improve access and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Conference delegates will have the opportunity to provide their input on the issues and to participate in discussion and debate with the discussion panel. In April 2011, the Australian Government announced a review of higher education access and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to be led by Professor Larissa Behrendt and an expert panel which will report to the Australian Government by April 2012. The review will provide advice on a long term strategic framework to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander access and outcomes in higher education. Submissions are being sought from the higher education sector, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and the broader community.
