Dr Hellene Gronda directs AHURI’s Research Synthesis Service which provides timely, independent synthesis of the existing evidence base in relation to particular policy or practice concerns. A number of recent projects have involved synthesis of the evidence on Indigenous housing and homelessness. Hellene has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and Science from Melbourne University, and a doctorate from Monash University.   She has worked in the field of homelessness since 2002, including emergency housing delivery, coordinating research at an inner Melbourne homelessness agency and policy development for the state government.   Hellene researched and wrote What makes case management work for people experiencing homelessness? Evidence for practice, (Melbourne, AHURI 2009), and co-authored On the Outside: Pathways in and out of homelessness with Guy Johnson and Sally Coutts (Melbourne, ASP 2008).
