AIATSIS Enquiry Desk

Come to the AIATSIS stalls and enquiries desk in the Manning Clark Foyer to learn more about the Institute. Here you can talk to AIATSIS staff, apply for membership, learn how to access the Institute’s collections, explore our web-based resources and learn about the Family History Unit.

Exhibition, trade and market stalls

Amongst booksellers, tradestalls and displays of Indigenous-related services, the Manning Clark Foyer will feature sculpture, prints and pieces of art by urban artists.  Interactive IT displays will present an opportunity to be introduced to various online programs, search tools and community archive databases.  AIATSIS will be represented by its differing programs including the Archives, Library, Family History Unit and booksellers Aboriginal Studies Press.  Find Indigenous-related services, products and information aplenty with representation from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, the Australian Public Service Commission and higher education centres from the Australian National University and Canberra Institute of Technology.  Information will be available to browse and for giveaway and sale throughout the conference.

The ANU Co-op Bookshop will be open for business 9:00am-5:00pm daily throughout the conference. The bookshop is located at the far end of the foyer, outside Manning Clark lecture theatre 3.

There is wi-fi internet access in the Manning Clark Foyer – please see the registration desk for information and passwords.

The Conference will be held during Floriade, the popular Canberra Spring flower show.  Floriade is the biggest flower festival in Australia, a spectacular celebration of spring, set in Canberra's Commonwealth Park.
