The Conference has a Facebook page!
Sign up and keep in touch with other presenters and delegates before and during the Conference.
If you have an abstract or biographical note outstanding please forward them as soon as possible. Biographical notes should be no more than 150 words in length.
Please let us know your audio visual requirements. For example, will you need a slide projector or be showing a powerpoint presentation? Will you be showing a DVD or video or like to play a CD? Will you require a whiteboard?
We would like to encourage pre-circulated papers to ensure maximum discussion at the conference. Please send papers, extended abstracts and/or your powerpoint presentation in good time so that these may be placed on the web. A deadline of 1 September is suggested.
All presenters must register for the conference. Please note that we have organised excellent group rates if parties are coming from the same organisation.
Multi-registration forms have two sheets to be filled out - one for workshops and one for registration details.
We recommend that delegates consider booking accommodation early. The Conference will be held during Floriade, the popular Canberra Spring flower show, and accommodation may be difficult to obtain closer to the Conference dates. The following sites may assist with your booking: Canberra and Region Visitors Centre: www.visitcanberra.com.au (tel: 1300 733 228); www.wotif.com; www.quickbeds.com. The ANU accommodation office is contactable via:
http://accom.anu.edu.au/UAS/1042.html
If you would like us to organise meeting rooms for further discussion during the conference, please let us know.
The ANU co-op bookshop is running the conference book stall. If you want to make sure that you and/or your organisations publication(s) are available for sale at the conference, please contact Lucy Muddle Tel: (02) 62486934, lmuddle@coop-bookshop.com.au.
While in Canberra why not take the opportunity to visit the AIATSIS library, Audio-Visual Archive, and Family History Unit? If you are interested in accessing materials, please contact Collections staff in advance, so that they can make your visit as worthwhile as possible. You can find additional information at www.aiatsis.gov.au/collections/access.html
