Getting to the Conference

Delegates will need to make their own travel arrangements to attend the Conference.

The Conference will be held at the Manning Clark Centre at the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra.

Parking at ANU

Car parking at the venue will be very difficult. We suggest that delegates either:

• park in the multi-storey pay parking in Allsop St, off Marcus Clarke St. There is a walk of about 300m to the conference venue; or
• park at AIATSIS and get the mini-bus to the venue. Schedules will be published shortly

Accommodation

Delgates will need to make their own accomodation bookings. We recommend that delegates consider booking accommodation early as the conference takes place during Canberra's popular Floriade festival and accommodation may be difficult to obtain closer to the Conference dates.

Transport

Transport around Canberra is generally fairly easy. There are regular bus services from the city to near the conference venue. Walking from the city takes 10-15 minutes. Transport from the airport can be slow during morning peak periods, and taxis may be difficult to find during those times.

Shuttle bus service during the Conference

Free bus shuttle services will be provided to conference delegates to get to and from the conference venue and other scheduled conference activities throughout the conference.
