
Pam is a Senior Project Manager with the NTRU. She is an anthropologist and historian and has had an ongoing involvement with native title research for more than 12 years. In 2010 she helped established the Centre for Native Title Anthropology at the Australian National University, where she worked as a Research Fellow until her appointment to the AIATSIS team in late 2012. Pam has previously worked as a researcher for native title representative bodies in both Victoria and Western Australia. She has authored expert reports for native title claims and Aboriginal cultural heritage projects, and has convened and facilitated a number of professional development activities for native title anthropologists. Pam’s other academic interests lie in the areas of visual anthropology and ‘intercultural’ history, and in the late 1990s she worked for two years on a community-based natural resource management projects in Namibia, southern Africa. Pam has held the office of Treasurer for the Australian Anthropological Society since 2009. |
