Family History Resources - Torres Strait Islands
The AIATSIS Library holds a range of published and unpublished items of relevance to Torres Strait family history. This includes family trees which appear in the Reports of the Cambridge Anthropological Expedition to Torres Straits by Alfred C Haddon and the Pitt family genealogy which is included in Genealogies of Melbourne families : (a) with no association with country missions/reserves (b) from interstate compiled by Alick Jackomos, [1987].
