Archives are records, documents and manuscripts held by state and commonwealth archives and libraries. These may include government records as well as private and company papers. Archives collections may also be found in museums, local history societies or in private collections.

Australian Historic Records Register (AHRR)

The AHRR contains descriptions of over 3,500 collections of private papers and records of business and community organisations in private hands. It's strengths include family history, local history, rural properties and war histories
