Libraries with Family History resources
Finding a Library
You can use the Australian Libraries Gateway to find libraries by their name, place or the subject of their collections. Just select "Local/Family History" from the Library Type box and select the State required from the Location box and click on the "search" button.
Trove - with one search you can access the combined holdings of many major Australian cultural institutions; including photographs, books, newspapers, maps, journals, films and videos, CDs, DVDs, government reports, newspapers, talking books, musical scores and much more.

Finding a book
If you are interested in a particular book, you can find out which libraries hold it by searching for it in Trove http://trove.nla.gov.au/ . Trove has the combined holdings of many Australian libraries – over 30 million holdings. It is free to search.
With one search you can access photographs, books, newspapers, maps, journals, films and videos, CDs, DVDs, government reports, newspapers, talking books, musical scores (and much more) from many major Australian cultural institutions.
