Mission records

How to find mission records

Because of the large number of missions operating in Australia over the years, mission records are widely dispersed across Australia (and overseas).

The AIATSIS Family History Unit has prepared resources on records for Missions, Stations and Reserves for each state and territory.

Mission records held at AIATSIS

AIATSIS Library holds some manuscript material from missions. For access to these manuscripts please contact AIATSIS reference desk or the AIATSIS Family History Unit. Finding Aids provide detailed informatio about the contents of each set of records. These finding aids are available electronically.
