Digital multimedia with Australian language content

This listing covers digital multimedia with Australian language content, especially CD-ROMs designed to assist learning a particular language.  Within each section, the order of listing is a mixture of chronological and areal.

The list does not mean to include audio CDs (some of which have an integrated accompanying book and thus can be quite similar to the items listed here), or web pages which deliver multimedia such as some dictionaries (listed here).

The Ara Irititja Archival Project involves interactive CD including some Pitjantjatjara text and audio. Limited distribution. Began in 1994, continually expanded.
An abridged version formed the basis of Ara Winki: Life of the Pitjantjatjara Lands, an interactive educational program developed by Rightside Response Pty Ltd, which was launched in the SA Museum in December 2001 and is being prepared for Alice Springs public library. Funded by the National Council for the Centenary of Federation.

Kirrkirr, a graphical electronic interface to the Warlpiri Dictionary, with linked photographs and some spoken words. Runs an installer. Limited distribution.
