- 177 Kukatja, Balgo Peile, Anthony; Hilaire Valiquette
Contains grammatical material by Hilaire Valiquette, as of 31/12/91. The language is Kukatja, at Balgo, WA, archived at AIATSIS 31/12/91 it is all quite tentative! This material was done on IT (interlinear translation program) from stories at the Luurnpa School Literacy Production Center at Balgo. You need IT to call them up; then you can read them in a text-only file. Cf. also Peile. Some has been highly edited for children, and possibly some mistakes have been introduced, specifically re word order and subordination. Peile collected various articles, reprints, photocopies, conference material, and bound them. Hilaire Valiquette listed the articles, and started to put them in a backslash format, with a key to contents. This file folder contains files edited from the cards at WA Museum; cf. the catalogue in WA.museum; in folder DIC PROJ; these were done by Hilaire Valiquette during visit 10/91; then later, using cards sent up from the museum. There are around 20,000 cards and slips, almost all of them done in Peile's old orthography. Parts of this material have been printed by Hilaire Valiquette, and these are available at Luurnpa Catholic School, with notes by Valiquette [Vocabulary; Grammar; List of Resources: 322 files, 3932 kB] Closed
