Accessibly written and well-illustrated, The Little Red Yellow Black Book is being published in response to demand. As a pocket-sized guide, it’s an invaluable introduction for everyone: adults who want to learn what they weren’t taught at school, migrants, tourists, institutions and departments, schools, and trainers.

With its non-chronological approach, the themes that emerge are identity and continuity. Content includes Who Are We? (land, family, population, flags); Society and Culture (culture, arts, sport, learning two-ways, participation: education and employment; health, governance) and Resistance and Reconciliation (early resistance; missions, reserves and stations; activism and representation; reconciliation and celebration).

Mini-essays, some rarely seen photographs, information on travelling respectfully, and festivals and tours, while a website will supplement the book.
