Land of Promises is the report of the East Kimberly Impact Assessment Project (EKIAP), conducted between 1985 and 1988, to assist Aboriginal people in dealing with economic and social changes arising from resource development. It includes the Project’s recommendations, documentation of other published and unpublished works, and the views of local Aboriginal people. The report suggests an agenda for change in achieving a path of development that better meets the needs of the region’s people.
